					<description>I looked at the demos, and as a Flash/Flex developer, JavaFX threatens to put me out of a job because of one key advantage.  Gradients.  I was very impressed.  The green gradients were top notch.  I think you might be underestimating their capabilities.</description>

					<description>I can’t imagine how this technology will take hold for anyone other than people already up to their ears in Java. I think “write once, run anywhere” may end up being the mantra for the same developers who only have a Java hammer in their toolbox.
